That is amazing! I thought it was shattered glass at first, but now I know what it is I can see it all. You have the M25 making an almost complete circuit and the M4 going to Heathrow, the M23 to Gatwick. Even the M3, "my" road :) You can see the same area if you're interested on Multimap though I couldn't get it to quite the same scale.
That is very cool, Max. It's almost like an interstellar nipple - the M25 forms the edge of the areola, and central London being the more protruding bit.
Hi Linda. And happy birthday. (Didn't you just turn 29? Sorry, if I'm wrong about your birthday. Seems like I heard it somewheres. You can still have the 29 as a gift, though.) :)
Hey Redbeard. Not directed at YOU, buddy. I like the nipple much better. 'London as Anus" was suggested by my closet nameless NI reader. I will stay out of it, wonderful diplomat that I am. :)
Hey Max, it seems unlikely that you'll want it - but I just made up a new award and knew you had to be the first to award it to - you can pick it up here:
Canucklehead, of COURSE I want it, buddy. There is a tear in my eye. I was just about to email you and see how you are doing. But I don't really care anymore now. Come by the pub payday, and I will buy you 2 beers. Still not a new daddy?

ReplyDeleteironically, it looks similar to the picture my son sent me of a brain synapse he has been mapping
ReplyDeletewonder if it was a British brain?

ReplyDeleteBritish brains make shiny synapses. Spoken by John Le Mesurier.
ReplyDeleteOnly British people of a certain age will associate that with the Homepride ad "Graded grains ...".
damn. And here I thought it was a dirt splatter on glass.....
ReplyDeleteGoes to show what I know. (I heard that!)
I thought it was fireworks at first but that's probably because of my advancing age and failing eyesight!
ReplyDeleteAll those who thought it was a view of my windshield when I smacked my forehead against it raise your hands. Heh.
ReplyDeleteThey have a bunch of pictures of cities on earth and of the planets from the space station on the NASA site.
Not as cool as Claire's new blog skin, but pretty nice.
Thank you for your comments. All except Petra. Petra? The police want to see you down at the station. :)
Oh, and Redbeard? That isn't a nipple. It's an anus. Sounded like you were getting pretty aroused there, buddy. :) (Anous?)

ReplyDeleteIf you say so Max. I can see what's on your mind, not that there's anything wrong with it.

ReplyDeleteSorry. I didn't give the link of the NASA site mentioned above. So here it is. :
ReplyDeleteThe police station isn't the only place they want me, Max.....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new skin compliment :)
ReplyDelete'The Big Dipper' constellation is named after me, don't you know.
ReplyDeleteFACT.
(NB: may not be actual fact).
@Petra - Shall I tell you exactly wh.....
ReplyDeleteoh, nevermind. :)
@Claire-Yes, indeed. I simply LOVE your nice satiny, warm, smooth skin. Ummm...BLOG skin.
That babyshit green you and the punk kid came up with is really unique. Or is that officially "Olive Oil Douche"?
No. Love it. Truth. Next I will read your "about" page. I have always wondered who the hell you are. :)
Haha. He said "babyshit" - hehehehe and its so fitting for the green color.... ::snicker:::hic::
