D-Day Plus 68 Years

No war still in Western Europe in almost 67 years. That's pretty cool. It's what they would have wanted.

Watching the highlights of the Jubilee on the TV news. The lady at the Guardian says the monarchy is showing a profit. This kind of thing draws much tourism. Hadn't thought of that. I am so negative.

I hadn't realized her coronation was just a few days before D-Day. The anniversary of D-Day, I mean.

  1. I'd like to see that particular balance sheet.

    1. Cost to rent royalty = £3,000,000,000 per annum. Tourism income = £80,000,000,000. Gross profit from royaly = £77,000,000,000. This assumes all people who visit the UK do so because there be royals there. This per the Guardian’s calculations. I would have thought more profit (royalties?) but I guess they were being conservative. A bargain, no?
