'Emergency' tax on the rich roils Britain.

  1. I'm trying to see the connection between these two items. And failing. I can't make much of a comment on the first but the second is completely off the wall. Roils? Who's roiling? I'm not.

    1. Why did you blog about berries and bales of hay in one post? I can't see the connection between those things. If the connection is "I took a walk and saw those things" then my connection is "I read news Brits might be interested in" and posted it.

      You roil.

    2. Is roil the correct way to spell "rile" then? Probably. :)

    3. The clue is in my post title. You offer no clues.

    4. There is no actual blogging rule that requires a single subject unless previously explained. I would use as an example of the blog of one Adullamite who constantly blogs about two, three, or ever four subjects and often titling the main post "Friday Night" or "No Rain Today." This is a tried and true method of intentionally offending people with a long primary post, such as free health care or bad mining conditions, and then ending by talking about lions on the loose or some such distraction to take the edge off the reader's indignation. Those of us who are pure bloggers (who never have ulterior underlying motives) are allowed to blog multiple subjects at any time without warning or stating a reason. People who read these superior pure blogs usually enjoy them so much they are grateful for any subject at all.

      Prepare to be offended.

    6. I see. I will roil quietly then. And learn.

    7. None of my business but I don't think you are supposed to be up so late. Are you up waiting for the BBC to carry Romney's acceptance speech live?

    8. I won't stay up so late in future. I'll just roil off to bed and have an early night.

  2. Roil?

Chapman is either very level headed or still clearly dangerous. I go for the latter myself.

The unconnected story (and cheap blog) ignores the fact that Clegg is just desperate. He will say anything in an attempt to look good. He cheerfully voted to reduce the 50p tax level to 45p (from which he benefits) and now wants to tax the rich (His boss Cameron and cronies perhaps). All smoke and mirrors.
    I prefer Chapman myself.

I heard some of Romneys speech (in which he offered no tactic for creating work, fixing economy, or indeed anything else). he gave the audience the pap they look for and went home happy. Sad days if he is elected, the world will once again turn against America. Romney is like Dubya without the brain!

    1. A sad thing indeed, if the world were to "once again" turn against America.

Dybya was the brains of the outfit. That's funny. You are in good form. :)

    2. If Romney were elected - and we all know that isn’t going to happen - that would only prove that the majority of Americans who bothered to vote are simply still not as enlightened as the Europeans, and continue to let the lessons of the current European economic prosperity remain sadly unlearned.

Obviously you didn't read the entire 38 page transcript of Chapman's parole hearing. He has found God.

  3. European economic prosperity was continuing happily until Americans blew it for us. Thankfully in the USA you get 90 years for this like Madoff (?). In the UK you just get a bonus or a million pound payoff or two.

I note the bit about Chapman and God, but all Yanks do that, few have him. And that was before he shot Lennon.

    1. No, found God now. For parole purposes. Didn't work. You really should read the official transcript (click on the link in first the dumb blog) instead of just the reporter's lame summary.

    2. Here's the whole thing. Very entertaining for loser like me. :) :)

    3. Madoff was a product of European thought and greed, and probably served his early apprenticeship at Barclays.
