Toon! Toon! Black and White Army!

Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win! Magpies Win!

Howay the Lads!

No, "Magpies Win!" is not an oxymoron. Not anymore, at least!

Ok, I admit that the round ball is still foreign to this poorly educated American, and that I still have the impulse to pick it up and run with it. Round balls are for hitting with baseball bats or stuffing in baskets. But I am honestly trying...

  3. Rock on, Magpies!

Is that like the Cubs winning the World Series? In that case...

    Bloody fracking AWESOME, Magpies!!!

  4. Max is in the building, folks. Hold the applause, please.

@Marmelade. Good morning. (I know--it's really afternoon in the place you are so delightfully gracing, right?)

I'm guessing Geordie is not one of your many languages. I know 3 or 4 words now, though. (It may make a little more sense if you check out the very first post I made to this new blog, entitled "I think they're talking about soccer..." See archives list.) That's where it all got started at any rate.)

But the short translation is that the beloved Magpies have finally won a game Sunday (I think it was Sunday--some of you even have different DAYS than I do! :) after a very long drought. Congratulations!

I will take your remark about the new (very temporary) banner as a compliment. Thank you very much. I just could no longer let poor Eleanor continue to countenance what goes on here. Maggie's upper lip seems to be getting stiffer and stiffer, but she has had nothing to say yet.

Thanks for stopping by, Marmelade. It's nice whenever we can be awake for a few hours at the same time.
    :)

  5. Aerten, are you a Cubbies fan? If you are I will tell Tom to post a picture for you. (Smiley face keys don't seem to work anymore.)
